Roofing website design for the morning after the storm
After a big wind, every homeowner with a missing shingle searches at once, on a phone, usually from the driveway. The roofer whose site loads and answers first gets the inspection. WebCore builds your roofing website for that morning, then keeps working on it all year.
Name it, and it starts building your roofing site.
Roofing sites were the slowest trade we measured
We measured 16 roofing websites across Ontario for the September 2026 Web Index. The median one took 8.9 seconds to show its headline on a mid-range phone over slow 4G, the slowest of the six trades. It also had the lowest median score, 56 out of 100.
That wait lands at the worst possible moment. Storm damage is urgent, the homeowner is anxious, and three other roofers are one tap away. In Google's 2016 study of mobile sites, 53% of visits were abandoned when a page took longer than three seconds to load.
Your best work means nothing on a page that never finishes loading.
The usual culprit on a trade site is the thing the owner is proudest of: job photos, uploaded straight from a phone at full size. Keep the photos. But stop making people wait for them.
What a roofing website needs when the phone should ring
Six things. Most roofing sites already have the photos and the logo. What they're missing is everything a worried homeowner needs in the first minute.
The inspection, first screen
Your number and your inspection offer, if you have one, on the first screen of every page. A homeowner with a leak wants to know when you can come, not when you were founded.
Storm damage and insurance, explained
People with storm damage want to know how a claim works with you. A plain page on your process, from the first inspection to the adjuster, earns the call.
Photos that don't slow the page
Before and after shots sorted by roof type and town, set up so a phone shows the headline first and the gallery right after it.
A page for each kind of job
Shingle replacement, metal roofing, flat roofs, repairs, eavestroughs. Each gets its own page, so a search for the job lands on the page about it.
Ice dams and leaks, answered
Ontario winters bring ice dams and spring brings leaks. Pages that answer those questions bring in the homeowners who are living with them right now.
Financing and warranty, up front
If you offer financing, say so early. A full replacement is a big number, and a clear warranty is what turns it into an easy yes.
Live in about 15 minutes, between jobs
Name your agent
Tell it about your company: the roofs you do, the towns you cover, whether you handle insurance work and inspections. It asks about whatever's missing.
Review it, then go live
A site is typically live in about 15 minutes, on your own domain, with the speed and search setup already done.
Text it the promos
“Mother's Day promo, 15% off full replacements, all May, homeowners” is the whole brief. Your agent asks what it still needs, builds the promo and puts it live.
Ghost-Writer, the writing side of your agent, asks about roofs you've actually done, like the steep one nobody else would quote, and turns your answers into pages with details no template has.
What we measured on roofing websites in Ontario
The Ontario Trades Web Index tests real trade and clinic websites with Google PageSpeed Insights, using the simulated mid-range Android phone and slow 4G connection Google publishes. The September 2026 edition measured 146 sites in 13 Ontario towns. It names no business.
- Roofing: 16 sites, with a median mobile score of 56 out of 100, the lowest of the six trades.
- Median time to show the headline on a phone: 8.9 seconds, the slowest trade, against the 2.5 Google calls good.
- 13% of roofing sites scored poor, which means under 50.
- Across all 146 sites, the median was 7.0 seconds and 91% took longer than three.
Here's the upside. When a whole trade is slow, a fast roofing site stands out the moment a storm sends everyone searching. Read the full Index.
What roofers ask before they switch
I already have a website. What happens to it?
We move your pages, copy and URLs onto WebCore, so the addresses Google already knows keep working. Keep your look or ask for a new one. You can price the move in about 30 seconds, no call needed.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $99 a month and you can cancel anytime, with no $5k build fee up front. SEO and Ghost-Writer are $50 a month each on that plan, or included on Starter at $299. See all plans.
Can it handle hundreds of job photos?
Yes. Send the photos and tell your agent how to sort them, by roof type, by town, by before and after. The gallery is set up so the page shows its headline first and the photos right after.
I'm on roofs all day in season. Who updates the site?
You do, by text, in less time than a coffee break. Tell your agent what changed and it updates the site. Edits come with the plan.
Be the roofer whose site loads first
There's a storm in the forecast somewhere. Name your agent and your roofing website can be live before it lands.
