Plumber website design for the call that can't wait
When a pipe lets go at 11 PM, nobody reads your About page. They're standing in water with a phone, tapping whichever plumber's site loads first. WebCore builds your plumbing website around that moment, then keeps working on it long after launch.
Name it, and it starts building your plumbing site.
The first site that loads gets the call
Nobody shops around with water coming through the ceiling. They search, tap a result, and if a phone number shows up fast, they call it. If the page is still loading, they hit back and try the next plumber. You never see that visitor in your numbers. You just don't get the call.
We measured 21 plumbing websites across Ontario for the September 2026 Web Index. The median one took 4.5 seconds to put its headline on a mid-range phone over slow 4G. That was the fastest of the six trades we measured. It is still almost twice the 2.5 seconds Google calls good.
Fastest trade in the Index. Still almost twice Google's line.
And the clock is harsher than it looks. In Google's 2016 study of mobile sites, 53% of visits were abandoned when a page took longer than three seconds to load. A competitor with a slow site is your opening, as long as yours is quicker.
What a plumbing website has to do on a phone
Six jobs. Each one is there because a homeowner with a problem needs it in the first ten seconds, or because Google needs it before it will send you that homeowner at all.
Your number, first screen
Tap to call at the top of every page, above everything else. If you take calls after hours, the page says so right there. That one line does more work than any slogan.
A page for each job you want more of
Drain cleaning, water heaters, sump pumps, backflow testing. Each gets its own page, so a search for that job lands on the page about it. Text your agent the job and it builds the page.
The water heater question, answered
Plenty of Ontario homeowners still rent their water heater. When it quits, the first question is whether to buy out the rental or replace it. Answer that plainly and you're the plumber they ask.
The towns you actually drive to
A page for each area you serve, written about the work you do there. Not the same paragraph with the town name swapped, which Google has learned to ignore.
Licence and insurance where people look
Your licence, insurance and warranty near the top, not buried in the footer. People letting a stranger into their basement at midnight check.
Details Google can read
Your hours, service area and phone number written as structured data, the format search engines and AI assistants read. In the Web Index, 49% of the 130 sites we checked had none.
From the truck, in about 15 minutes
Name your agent
Give it a name, then tell it about your business the way you'd brief a new hire: what you fix, which towns you cover, when you pick up. It asks about whatever it's missing.
Review it, then go live
A site is typically live in about 15 minutes, on your own domain, with the speed and search setup already done.
Text it the changes
“Add a page for frozen pipes, same layout as drain cleaning” is a text message. Not a quote and a two-week wait. Your agent makes the change and ships it.
Short on time to write? Ghost-Writer, the writing side of your agent, asks about real jobs you did, like the 2 AM call or the basement nobody else would take on, and turns ten minutes of answers into a page no competitor can copy.
What we measured on plumbing websites in Ontario
The Ontario Trades Web Index tests real trade and clinic websites with Google PageSpeed Insights, on a simulated mid-range Android phone over slow 4G. The September 2026 edition covered 146 sites in 13 Ontario towns. No business is named.
- Plumbing: 21 sites, with a median mobile score of 75 out of 100.
- Median time to show the headline on a phone: 4.5 seconds, against the 2.5 Google calls good.
- 14% of plumbing sites scored poor, which means under 50.
- Across all 146 sites, the median was 7.0 seconds and 91% took longer than three.
Plumbing had the fastest median and the best median score in the Index. That's the good news. The bad news is that the front of this pack still makes a customer wait almost twice as long as Google thinks they should. Read the full Index.
What plumbers ask before they switch
I already have a website. Do I have to start over?
No. We move your pages, your copy and your URLs onto WebCore, so the addresses Google already knows keep working. Keep the look you have or ask for a new one. You can price the move in about 30 seconds, no call needed.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $99 a month and you can cancel anytime. There's no $5k build fee up front. SEO and Ghost-Writer are $50 a month each on that plan, or included on Starter at $299. See all plans.
Do I own the site?
Yes. You own the code and the content, and if you ever leave, you can export everything.
I'm on jobs all day. Who keeps it up to date?
You do, from your phone, in the time it takes to send a text. Tell your agent what changed, like a new service, new hours or a new town, and it updates the site. Edits come with the plan.
The next emergency call is already on its way
Make sure your site is the one that loads first. Name your agent and it starts building your plumbing website now.
