Every figure below comes from the November 2026 edition of the Index: 1,277 real websites in 48 Ontario towns, tested with Google PageSpeed Insights on a mid-range phone over slow 4G. Google calls 2.5 seconds good.

Plumbers

Emergency calls go to the first site that loads. The median plumbing site took 7.9 seconds to show its headline, more than three times Google's line.

HVAC

The first cold night decides who gets the no-heat calls. The median HVAC site took 9.3 seconds, and nearly one in four scored poor.

Electricians

The big jobs go to whoever explains them best. The median electrician site took 8.1 seconds, across 90 sites.

Roofers

After a storm, everyone searches at once. Roofing sites took a median of 8.4 seconds, with a median score of 61 out of 100.

Dental clinics

A new patient compares clinics on a phone. About one in five dental sites scored poor, and the median took 6.2 seconds.

Med spas

They look good and still make people wait. One of the 33 scored poor, but the median still took 8.9 seconds to show its headline.

If your trade isn't on the list
