# WebCore > WebCore is an AI web designer that replaces a traditional web agency. You name an agent, tell it about your business in plain English, and it builds, deploys, optimizes and maintains your website. Plans start at $99/mo, cancel anytime, with no upfront build fee. WebCore is aimed at service businesses doing roughly $500K to $20M in revenue: roofing, HVAC, plumbing and electrical, moving companies, dental and med spa clinics, auto dealerships, law firms and home services. A site is typically live in about 15 minutes. The product is an agent, not a template gallery. You give it a brief the way you would give one to a person — "Mother's Day promo, 15% off full replacements, all May, homeowners" — and it asks what it still needs, then builds the pages. There are two ways to work with it: from a phone you message it and it ships the change; from a desktop you can use WebCore Studio, an inline editor where the change happens as you ask for it. Improvements are made to the platform and inherited by every site on it, so sites keep adapting as search and AI discovery change, rather than being handed over once and left at the standards of their launch day. Customers own their code and content outright and can export everything if they leave. WebCore is based in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, and serves clients across North America. ## Core pages - [Homepage](https://webcore.pro/): The offer, how it works, who it is for, pricing and FAQ. - [About](https://webcore.pro/about): Background on WebCore and the thinking behind the product. - [Blog](https://webcore.pro/blogs): 50 in-depth articles on websites, SEO, AI search and lead generation for service businesses. - [The Ontario Trades Web Index](https://webcore.pro/web-index): Original measurements of real trade and clinic websites. Free to cite with attribution. ## Industries Six trades have a page of their own: the six the Ontario Trades Web Index measured at least ten websites for in its first edition (September 2026). Each quotes its own trade's figures from the October 2026 edition. - [Plumbers](https://webcore.pro/industries/plumbers): 29 sites measured; median 5.2 seconds to show a headline on a phone, the fastest trade. - [HVAC](https://webcore.pro/industries/hvac): 34 sites; median 7.6 seconds, and 21% scored poor. - [Electricians](https://webcore.pro/industries/electricians): 34 sites, tied with HVAC for the largest trade sample; median 5.8 seconds. - [Roofers](https://webcore.pro/industries/roofers): 23 sites; median 10.1 seconds, second slowest after auto repair, and the lowest median score. - [Dental clinics](https://webcore.pro/industries/dentists): 21 sites; 24% scored poor, the second highest share; median 5.6 seconds. - [Med spas](https://webcore.pro/industries/med-spas): 13 sites; none scored poor, median 5.5 seconds. ## How it works - [Name your agent](https://webcore.pro/): You name it, describe the business in plain English, and it builds. No credit card to start. - [Process](https://webcore.pro/#how-it-works): Name the agent, describe the business, review, go live. - [WebCore Studio](https://webcore.pro/#studio-demo): The desktop inline editor. Type what you want changed and watch it happen on the page. - [Who it is for](https://webcore.pro/#who-its-for): Service businesses roughly $500K–$20M that rely on inbound leads. - [Industries](https://webcore.pro/industries): A page per trade, each built on that trade's own Web Index numbers. - [FAQ](https://webcore.pro/#faq): Ownership, replacing WordPress, cancellation, coding knowledge, performance and SEO. - [By phone](https://webcore.pro/blogs/build-website-by-texting-ai-telegram): Message the agent and it ships the change. No dashboard required. ## Features - [All features](https://webcore.pro/features): Everything the agent does, grouped by outcome: winning customers, building and changing the site, getting found on Google and in AI answers, and the agent itself (training, Telegram, proactive updates, team, token top-ups). - [Web Designer: AI website builder for small business](https://webcore.pro/features/ai-website-builder): The skill every WebCore agent has, on every plan including the free trial. The agent builds a site from a conversation (asking for anything missing from the brief first), changes copy, layout, sections, forms and pages in plain words in Studio or on Telegram, breaks large jobs into checked steps, can look at the live page and its speed score, undoes its last change on request, and asks the owner to confirm the site by name before publishing. With the SEO skill (Starter and up, or the SEO add-on), every page is pre-rendered with structured data, a sitemap and llms.txt. On 4 October 2026 WebCore's own audit measured webcore.pro's home page at 94/100 on Google's mobile test, against a Web Index median of 62. - [SEO Lighthouse: AI SEO tool for small business](https://webcore.pro/features/ai-seo-tool): Runs on every real public route of a site: sets safe metadata (title, description, Open Graph and Twitter previews) and JSON-LD that matches the page type, writes a merged sitemap, a robots reference and llms.txt, and keeps Google Rich Results test code per route. It never deploys and never rewrites Core Web Vitals code. Performance Lighthouse measures LCP, CLS and INP (in a real browser when available) and makes only evidence-backed changes, today marking the main image to load first. Included from Starter; a $50/mo add-on on Essential. - [Ghost-Writer: AI blog writer](https://webcore.pro/features/ai-blog-writer): Interviews the owner (3 to 5 questions), offers headlines to pick from, locks the voice, writes with PAS, Before-After-Bridge, The Ladder or The Inversion, and scores each article written for a search term out of 100 on 23 checks (content 30, search 25, trust 15, AI citation 15, voice 15). Below 90 it is rewritten with the reasons listed. Statistics need a followable source; calls to action must point at a converting page. Drafts are saved for the owner to publish. Included from Starter; an add-on on Essential. - [Ecommerce with SHOPLINE](https://webcore.pro/features/shopline): Connect an existing SHOPLINE store or create one through WebCore. Access is read-only (catalogue and orders). The agent reads the first 50 items (names, starting prices, tags, stock, whether each has an image or description), flags what is missing, and builds pages from the real catalogue. It does not rank items by revenue yet. The connection is free on every plan. - [Pipeline: simple CRM for small business](https://webcore.pro/features/simple-crm): Every lead from the customer's WebCore site forms and site chat lands on one board with four stages (New, Working, Won, Lost), plus leads the owner adds by hand with their source and value. Each lead opens with a reply the agent drafted, sent from the owner's own email, and the agent can rewrite it on request. Badges show which ad network a lead came from (Google, Facebook, TikTok, Bing, LinkedIn and others), and the Google Ads leads export as a CSV for offline conversion import. The board shows the open value of New and Working leads, the conversion rate, new leads by month and leads by source. Lead alerts (in WebCore and on Telegram, inside the owner's contact hours) are optional. The agent answers questions about the pipeline in chat, and WebCore MCP gives outside agents the same numbers. Included on every plan, including the free trial. - [Site chat](https://webcore.pro/features/site-chat): The agent answers visitors in a chat bubble on the customer's own WebCore site, only from what that site says, in the visitor's language. The lead is saved to the Pipeline with the whole conversation as soon as a phone number or email is typed. It never quotes a price the site does not state, says it is an AI when asked, and has a daily limit per site. Switched on per site in Settings, with no code and no republish. Included from Starter; a $50/mo add-on on Essential. - [Newsletter](https://webcore.pro/features/newsletter): The agent drafts each issue from the site and its articles; the owner edits it, sends a test and approves it. Only people who confirmed by email receive it. Every issue carries the business name, a mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) asks. No open or click tracking. One issue per 20 hours, up to 2,000 recipients per issue. It is sent under the business name, with replies going to the owner. Included from Starter; an add-on on Essential. - [Real estate listings](https://webcore.pro/features/real-estate-listings): A realtor sends the agent a photo of the house, on Telegram or in the WebCore chat, and answers a few questions. A listing page goes live on their own site with the photo, a walkability estimate, a map and a showing-request form, and joins the sitemap and llms.txt in the same publish. Walkability is WebCore's own estimate from OpenStreetMap data, not a Walk Score. Fair-housing wording is removed before publishing. Switched on from Starter; an add-on on Essential. - [Import your app](https://webcore.pro/features/import): Upload a ZIP exported from Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit, Google AI Studio or another React project. WebCore names the builder, shows the planned changes, converts Next.js and Tailwind 4 projects to its React, Vite and Tailwind 3 standard, and keeps link-preview images, icons, logos, titles and descriptions. Apps that use Supabase keep their own Supabase project; public keys carry over and secret keys are never stored. Available on every paid plan, from Essential. ## Connect your own AI agent (MCP) - [WebCore MCP](https://webcore.pro/mcp): Connect Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client to a WebCore account with a key from Settings, Integrations, MCP. The agent reads the business, its sites, lead pipeline and competitors, audits any website, and adds pages and article drafts after a plan the owner approves. Nothing is published without the owner. Included with Starter, Pro and Empire. - Server: https://app.webcore.pro/api/mcp (streamable HTTP, Authorization: Bearer ). The agent's own model does the thinking and writing; WebCore runs no AI on these calls. Chat apps that sign in with OAuth, such as ChatGPT and claude.ai, cannot connect yet. ## What you get - Sites are React single-page applications, built with Vite and deployed on Vercel. Not WordPress, not a page builder. - On plans with the SEO skill (Starter and up, or the SEO add-on), every route is pre-rendered to static HTML, so search engines and AI crawlers can read the page without running JavaScript. This is the single biggest technical difference from most AI site builders. - On those plans, structured data (JSON-LD), a generated sitemap, robots.txt and an llms.txt are produced and kept current on every publish. - Custom domains, SSL, hosting and unlimited edits are included in the monthly price. - Blog and article publishing, lead forms, and a lead pipeline are built in. - Ecommerce is available through a SHOPLINE integration: the agent reads the store catalogue (read-only) and builds pages from it. It does not rank items by revenue yet. ## Pricing - [Plans](https://webcore.pro/#pricing): four tiers, monthly. - **Essential $99/mo** - the agent builds, edits and ships the site, on your own domain. 2M tokens a month, one site. Every other skill (SEO, Ghost-Writer, site chat, newsletter, real estate listings) is $50/mo each on top. Importing a Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit or Google AI Studio app is included. - **Starter $299/mo** - the plan most businesses are sold on, and the one the homepage argues for. 8M tokens a month, two sites. Every skill is included, plus WebCore MCP. - **Pro $799/mo** - for businesses that need ongoing optimisation. 25M tokens a month, five sites - one per location, or one per client. - **Empire $1,499/mo** - the top tier, for agencies and multi-location brands. 60M tokens a month, ten sites. - Tokens are what the agent spends to build, write and audit. Top-ups start at $10 and carry over. - No setup fee, no build fee, no contract. Cancel anytime and take the code with you. - The comparison most people are making: a traditional agency charges $3,000–$10,000 upfront and $500–$2,000/mo to maintain. No email, no account, no sign-up wall. The full report is shown before anything is asked for. ## Original research - [The Ontario Trades Web Index](https://webcore.pro/web-index): WebCore's own measurements of 295 trade and clinic websites across 15 Ontario towns, taken with Google PageSpeed Insights. Edition 2026-10, published 2026-10-01. Free to cite with attribution. - The median site takes 6.8 seconds to show a headline on a phone. Google considers 2.5 seconds good. - 92% take longer than three seconds (n=295). - Median mobile performance score 62/100; 9% reached 90 or above (n=295). - 48% have no local business structured data for search engines to read (n=269). - Median page weight 2.4MB before images are counted as content (n=269). - Slowest trade: roofing, median 10.1s (n=23). Fastest: plumbing, median 5.2s (n=29). - Previous editions: 2026-09 median 7.0s across 146 sites. - No business is named. Nothing below a sample of 10 is reported. Convenience sample, not random. ## Articles: AI search and being cited - [Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) in 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/geo-2026-get-cited-by-chatgpt-perplexity-claude): How to get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude. - [AI Agents Don't Have Eyeballs](https://webcore.pro/blogs/ai-agents-dont-have-eyeballs): Why a site built to look good to people is invisible to AI agents that read rather than browse. - [What 'AI-Ready' Actually Means for Your Website](https://webcore.pro/blogs/what-ai-ready-website-means): The concrete definition, not the buzzword. - [How to Get Your Business in AI Search Results](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-get-your-business-in-ai-search-results): The 2026 citation playbook. ## Articles: SEO and local search - [Service Business Website SEO](https://webcore.pro/blogs/service-business-website-seo): The complete guide to ranking in 2026. - [Local SEO for Service Businesses 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/local-seo-for-service-businesses-2026): How to rank higher and get found locally. - [How to Rank in Google Maps](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-rank-in-google-maps): The local pack playbook. - [Google Business Profile Optimization 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/google-business-profile-optimization-2026): The complete guide. - [7 SEO Metrics That Actually Matter](https://webcore.pro/blogs/seo-metrics-that-matter): And five that waste your time. - [Why Most Local SEO Advice Is Outdated](https://webcore.pro/blogs/why-local-seo-advice-is-outdated): What actually works in 2026. - [How to Redesign a Website Without Losing SEO](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-redesign-a-website-without-losing-seo): The migration checklist. ## Articles: speed, conversion and leads - [The Cost of a Slow Website](https://webcore.pro/blogs/cost-of-a-slow-website): The hidden tax on growth. - [Website Speed Statistics](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-speed-statistics): How slow load times kill conversions. - [Website Lead Generation](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-lead-generation): Turning the visitors you already have into customers. - [Speed to Lead](https://webcore.pro/blogs/speed-to-lead-78-percent-first-responder): 78% of customers hire the first business that responds. - [Website Conversion Rate Optimization](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-conversion-rate-optimization-small-business): Why a site gets traffic but no calls. - [How to Write Website Copy That Converts](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-write-website-copy-that-converts): A framework. - [How to Get More Leads Without Ads](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-get-more-leads-without-ads): The system behind doubling revenue. ## Articles: choosing an approach - [How to Choose a Web Approach in 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-choose-a-web-approach-2026): DIY, agency, or agent. - [Wix vs Webflow vs WordPress](https://webcore.pro/blogs/wix-vs-webflow-vs-wordpress): Which is actually best for a service business. - [Best AI Website Builder 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/ai-website-builders-2026-what-you-actually-get): Every builder ships a site in minutes; the difference shows up after launch. - [Hiring a Web Designer vs Using AI](https://webcore.pro/blogs/hiring-web-designer-vs-using-ai): The cost and quality breakdown. - [AI Employee vs AI Tool](https://webcore.pro/blogs/ai-employee-vs-ai-tool): A tool you operate versus an employee you manage. - [Website Maintenance Cost in 2026](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-maintenance-cost-2026): What you will actually pay, and what it buys. - [The Agency Retainer Is Dead](https://webcore.pro/blogs/the-agency-retainer-is-dead): What replaces it. ## Articles: diagnosing an existing site - [Service Business Website Audit](https://webcore.pro/blogs/service-business-website-audit): What to fix before spending another dollar on traffic. - [12 Website Mistakes That Cost Small Businesses Customers](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-mistakes-costing-small-businesses-customers) - [10 Signs Your Website Needs a Redesign](https://webcore.pro/blogs/signs-your-website-needs-a-redesign): And what to do first. - [The 6 Pages Every Service Business Website Needs](https://webcore.pro/blogs/service-business-website-pages): And what each one is for. - [Your Website Designer Is Selling You a Brochure](https://webcore.pro/blogs/website-designer-selling-you-a-brochure): And it is costing you leads. ## Common questions - **Who owns the site?** The customer. Code and content are theirs outright and can be exported at any time, including after cancelling. - **Is it a template?** No. The agent writes the site from a brief. Two businesses in the same trade do not get the same page. - **Does it replace WordPress?** Yes, and migration is part of the work. See [How to Redesign a Website Without Losing SEO](https://webcore.pro/blogs/how-to-redesign-a-website-without-losing-seo). - **Do you need to know how to code?** No. The interface is a conversation, by phone or in the Studio. - **How long until it is live?** Typically about 15 minutes for a first site. - **What about edits later?** Unlimited, included, and made by asking. There is no ticket queue and no hourly rate. - **Is there a contract?** No. Monthly, cancel anytime. ## What WebCore does not do Stated plainly, because a list of capabilities with no edges is not useful to anyone deciding. - It is not a marketplace for custom web applications. It builds and maintains marketing websites, blogs, landing pages and ecommerce storefronts — not bespoke software, dashboards, or internal tools. - It does not run paid advertising campaigns. It builds the pages those campaigns point at. - It does not promise search rankings. No honest provider can. It makes a site technically readable, fast and well-structured, which is the part that can be controlled. - It is not the cheapest option. A DIY builder costs less per month. The argument is about what happens after launch, not about the monthly figure. ## Contact - [Start a site](https://webcore.pro/): Name an agent on the homepage. No credit card required to begin. - [Free audit](https://webcore.pro/): Check any existing site first. Nothing is asked for in return. ## Optional - [Sitemap](https://webcore.pro/sitemap.xml): Full list of indexable URLs. - [Robots](https://webcore.pro/robots.txt): Crawling rules. - [All 50 articles](https://webcore.pro/blogs): The complete index, most recent first.
