Wix Alternatives for Trades and Clinics: 6 Options Compared
The best Wix alternative for a trades business or a clinic comes down to one question: who is going to do the website work? Squarespace and WordPress.com suit owners who like to edit it themselves. Hostinger is the cheapest way in. Duda is built for agencies that make sites for clients. Durable drafts a site with AI. WebCore is for owners who would rather not do the work at all.

WebCore is our platform, and it's on this list. We've tried to be fair to the others, including where they're the better pick, and every price below comes from that platform's own pricing page.

How we compared them
For a plumber, a roofer or a dental clinic, the website has one job: turn a search into a call. So we looked at five things.
- Who does the work: you, an AI, an agency or an agent.
- Search basics: titles, structured data, a sitemap and pages a crawler can read.
- What happens to a lead once someone fills in your form.
- Price, as each platform's pricing page showed it on November 2, 2026, in the currency it showed. Introductory prices often renew higher.
1. Squarespace
Best for: an owner who wants the site to look sharp and doesn't mind updating it. Watch out for: the same trade-off as Wix. It gives you good tools, and the SEO work and the updates are still yours.
2. WordPress.com
Best for: owners who want flexibility and plan to keep their content for years, ideally with someone technical nearby. Watch out for: upkeep. Themes, plugins and updates are an ongoing job, and someone has to own it.
3. Hostinger Website Builder
Best for: the tightest budget. Watch out for: that price needs four years up front, the renewal is more than four times as much, and the building and the SEO are on you.
4. Durable
Best for: getting a decent site up fast and cheaply. Watch out for: it's the closest thing to WebCore on this list, and cheaper, so compare what happens after launch. Ask who keeps improving the site, and how much of that work lands back on you.
5. Duda
Best for: a business whose agency builds and runs the site. Watch out for: as an owner you'll usually get Duda through an agency, so the real question is what the agency does for you each month.
6. WebCore
WebCore is an AI website agent for trades and clinics. Your agent builds the site, the SEO pass runs every time you publish, leads from your forms and site chat land in one pipeline, and you text it the changes. Essential is $99 a month, and Starter at $299 adds SEO Lighthouse and Ghost-Writer. You can start free with no credit card.
Best for: owners who would rather not do website work and want the site to bring in calls. Watch out for: it costs more than the do-it-yourself builders, it's built for local service businesses rather than big online stores, and it's new: it went live on October 1, 2026.

Wix alternatives questions
What is the best Wix alternative for a small business?
It depends on who will do the work. If you'll edit it yourself, Squarespace or WordPress.com. On the smallest budget, Hostinger. If an agency runs it, Duda. For a fast AI draft, Durable. If you want the work done for you, WebCore.
What is the cheapest alternative to Wix?
On these pricing pages, Hostinger's builder had the lowest starting price, US$2.49 a month, but only on a 48-month term, and it renews at US$10.99. WordPress.com and Durable both have free plans.
Is there a free alternative to Wix?
Yes. WordPress.com has a free plan with no expiry date, and Durable's free plan previews your site on a free subdomain. Free plans come with limits, so check what you'd have to upgrade for, like using your own domain.
Can I move my Wix site to another platform?
Not the site itself. Wix says its sites have to run on its own servers, so you rebuild the pages on the new platform and bring your domain. WebCore does that rebuild for you and keeps your URLs.
Is Squarespace better than Wix?
For most trades it's a matter of taste. Both are do-it-yourself builders with hosting included. Squarespace leans on polished templates, and Wix gives you more freedom to drag things around. Either way, the SEO work is yours.
Is WebCore a website builder like Wix?
Not really. Wix gives you tools to build with. WebCore gives you an agent that builds the site, keeps it current and runs the SEO work, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
