Do I Still Need WordPress?
No. WebCore replaces it. Your site runs on clean code with no plugins, no updates and no hacks, and the changes a developer used to bill you for go through an AI agent you talk to in plain English.

What WordPress asks of a business owner
WordPress itself is free. Running it is the part that costs you. A typical site leans on a theme and a stack of plugins for forms, search, speed and security, and every one of them needs updates. Skip the updates and the site slows down or opens a door to attackers. Run them and something can break.
Either way, anything past a simple text edit tends to turn into a ticket for a developer, and the site stops moving between those tickets.
What replaces it
A WebCore site is plain, fast code that WebCore hosts for you. Hosting and SSL are included in every plan, so there is no separate host to manage. There are no plugins, so there is nothing to patch and no white screen after an update.
Changes go through your AI agent. You tell it what you want, a new service page, new hours, a stronger headline, and it makes the change and checks it. Nothing goes live until you publish.
Why speed is the reason to switch
Speed is where a slow site loses the call. In the October 2026 edition of the WebCore Web Index, we measured 295 Ontario trade and clinic websites in 15 towns. The median site took 6.8 seconds to show its headline on a phone, 92% took more than 3 seconds, and only 9% scored 90 or more.
A WebCore site is built for that test from the start. It goes live with the speed and search setup already done: technical SEO, structured data and clean URLs are handled for you.
How moving over works
You have two ways in. Start fresh: name your agent, tell it about your business, and your site is typically live in about 15 minutes. Or bring what you have: every paid plan includes the import, and if you'd rather not do it yourself, we move your current site for you.
Migration is $1,500 for the first 20 pages and $2,000 for every 20 pages after that. The migration calculator prices your site by its page count.
Your domain stays yours. You bring it, keep paying your registrar for it, and point it at your new site.
What it costs compared with WordPress
Plans start at $99 a month for one site, with hosting, SSL and the agent included. For a side-by-side of building it yourself on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or Duda, hiring an agency, and WebCore, with sourced prices, see how much a website costs.
